if only had one classic ststem to choose what will it be ???
Re: if only had one classic ststem to choose what will it be ???
I love the replies but I'm talking about the classic consoles like snes nes genesis tg-16 etc I would even say up to the 64 bit era and 32 bit era because it seems like everybody is going back to old school even though you could play these vintage games like Mario's and the sonic's and the street fighters and mortal kombat's by downloading them on the current systems or mod your xbox or ps2 to me its not the same as going to the local game store that carries the vintage stuff or going on ebay and paying 15 or 20 or even 30 dollars on contra or mario rpg or mario all stars going home and grabbing the old controller push the power on and spend the sunday afternoon till 4 am reminiscing and enjoying your youth all over again. To me thats what gaming is all about

I've owned or own every major console barring the niche one (3DO etc) since 1982.
Yes, that means I was there for the 2600, Intellivision, NES and so on during their original time of release.
Of all these consoles, the one I couldn't live without is the N64.
Weird, huh?

thats not weird man the 64 had some of the greatest games of all time being that said if you typed up the greatest game of all time it was zelda ocarina of time look at ign.com they did the greatest games of all time and it was zelda they also added other 64 games but that's a different argument all together

N64 also has the distinction of being one of the first generation of 3D machines. Even though N64 games sometimes have blurry graphics and small texture palettes which limit the look of the game, that doesn't change the fact that many of the games simply rocked. As much as I love my Saturn, I have to admit the N64 has more mainstream quality games. The Saturn has more NON-mainstream quality games, but that's a different discussion altogether.
Still, for me, from that era the PS1 is my favorite because that's what I played the most. I got my Saturn first, but as the available releases dwindled I wandered into the PS1 camp and was ever so impressed by the, sometimes hard to find, quality games on that system.

Ow! My small intestine!

I treasure my Saturn the most, for nostalgia and a great set of very collectable games but just lately I'm also playing the N64 the most out of the retro machines I have.

I would have to choose the Sega Genesis. Gotta have my Sonic series and Truxton.

I would have to choose SNES. That was my first console growing up and it has a great library of games.

NES all the way. i have so many fond memories playing with family and friends throughout the years. When i was my nephew's age (2 years old) my dad and brother showed me how to play super mario and duck hunt. from there, it was all uphill, lol.
