Very impressive score Blu! That is awesome they all were scratch free. They might be using a very high quality resurfacer. Definitely tempted to buy, but my backlog is quite large already.
I wonder how long they will have that promo?

Nah their resurfacing is all noticeable, most likely they took a loss then and stuffed it into the warehouse somewhere, one thing for sure GameStop has shit tons of games.Soldier Blue wrote:Very impressive score Blu! If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

They can't just be sending out such pristine quality stuff every time. You have to be getting somewhat lucky with this. Anyone else risk it so far or seen a site with someone else who has?

Maybe they've been hoarding back stock all this time, waiting for the moment to strike...
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Would be interesting if they could get the rights to reprint some of these games. Would kind of screw up the collector's market, but I wouldn't mind it.

I'd be all for them doing some reprints - hell it might be one of the few ways they can keep selling physical games alive.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Hell if there were a legit company officially reprinting some of the more sought after disc based games for the Dreamcast, PS1, Sega CD, and etc. I'd be all over them even if they were asking $40-60 msrp.
Would give me a reason to pick up a Sega CD, Saturn, and etc. Would get them now but with the lack of any games locally and the risks of faulty discs I've just never pulled the trigger on one.

I'd take that too, but also reprints of even older stuff. Got to find some way to break the backs of these flippers and allow those who really want the stuff to have it without having to donate a kidney. Gamestop is huge and they do need to figure out something before so much of it goes digital they're pointless to continue existence.

For sure. And with the exception of systems that use weird formats like DC, GCN, and PSP, there's really no reason they couldn't from a technical perspective.Fragems wrote:Hell if there were a legit company officially reprinting some of the more sought after disc based games for the Dreamcast, PS1, Sega CD, and etc. I'd be all over them even if they were asking $40-60 msrp.

As long as the reprinter didn't release too many games at once, and made sure to build up some hype beforehand, I bet it'd be profitable. Just create some big hubbub online about how Suikoden II or Mega Man Legends is going to be available again a few months in advance, and then be sure to sell it through popular websites like Amazon.

So I'm just wondering and I think I'm right, at the GameStop I go to I pre ordered the new rainbow six and I didn't get a code for the beta version. Any thoughts? I'm almost certain that you get a code but the rep says there isn't one yet. I think he's full of crap
