Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Modifying an Xbox 360 Controller to Cheat in Call of Duty..

Post by molotovwars »

I don't have an Xbox 360 and haven't really played Call of Duty, but I came across this listing on Craigslist http://baltimore.craigslist.org/ele/1036380104.html and didn't really know what to think. Are people really that desperate to get ahead in an online game? There may be other uses for this mod (though, if it wasn't originally included with the controller than the feature isn't likely to be necessary to enjoy/complete a game), but as its marketed by this guy on craigslist it just seems pretty low..

That is pretty low, but then again, it's just a turbo button. People have made those before.

its unreal how many hackers actually are out there. my brother and i where playing call of duty 4 the other day, and you could clearly tell that somebody was hacking, i mean if you're shooting at the guy right in the face, and he comes up out of nowhere and stabs you, there is obviously something up there. It really makes my brother and myself try harder to kill them thought, because at that point, if they get their asses handed to them when they cheat, they must really suck.

Modem tapping in Gears 2 is annoying as ever. When your about to win the game and all of a sudden the game freezes you know your done for.

And just think, they could have just taken the time to develop actual skill. Oh well.

The thing about modding a controller to turbo shoot is that it still won't prevent you from being in the wrong place and the wrong time. It doesn't make that much of a difference in the long run. You might eek out one or two more kills per round that you wouldn't have gotten, but certainly it isn't worth the time/effort to cheat. Additionally- are you serious? its a fucking game. Can't we all just play on even ground the way the game was ment to be played?

that could be lag. Is it even possible to really hack an xbox game? I know there are countless mods for pc, but i figured that the unique architecture of the xbox would prevent hacks. Glitches, no, but hacks.. yes.

From what I played of COD4 on PC, half the fucking room is cheating at any given time.

That is really awful. Gaming needs a sense of good sportsmanship and fair play. I don't understand why people cheat in the first place, but with half the room cheating you don't even gain an edge when you play! Everyone is just playing a broken game! Why not just buy a game that aims for you. Cut out the middleman and have everyone cheat so no one cheats or has a good time playing.

While you'll be more likely to get fair play, major tournaments as far as I've can tell have been lacking in proper sportsmanship for years.

I don't get why people use cheat codes. It makes games so much less fun that way, whether you are the cheater or the person being cheated on.
