How does one brag about a cat?

"Little Miss Mittens is something fabulous. Just today she did not destroy the blinds nor the curtains".

Cats who do catch mice deserve the bragging.

I don't doubt it.

...

Following is a post from Robin William's daughter Zelda.

"I spent this night shivering and laughing under a clear, cold sky full of stars with people I love just to witness something beautiful. We mooned the moon and laughed ourselves hoarse, and I'm so incredibly grateful for every silly second. I came to a realization this year that I feel compelled to share here, for whomsoever may need it: Avoiding fear, sadness or anger is not the same thing as being happy. I live my sadness every day, but I don't resent it anymore. Instead, I do it now so that the wonderful moments of joy I do find are not in order to forget, but to inhabit and enjoy for their own sake. It's not easy. In fact, I'd say it takes much more effort to consciously do than it does to just stay sad, but with all my heart, I cannot tell you how worth it it is. And for those suffering from depression, I know how dark and endless that tunnel can feel, but if happiness seems impossible to find, please hold on to the possibility of hope, faint though it may be. Because I promise you, there're enough nights under the same yellow moon for all of us to share, no matter how or when you find your way there. -Zelda Williams"

How eloquent and succinct. Perfect even.

The more you think life sucks, the more it will. And as Zelda states being happy isn't easy for everyone, does require effort, but that effort has a great roi.

Zelda freaking awesome name :). Glad to see her sharing and being positive. It's a shame what happened with her father :( .

I absolutely love it as it is so sincere and certainly sends a great message.

It's important for people who are depressed to understand it's neither bad nor wrong to be depressed. Joke if you'd like, but Mr. Rogers was incredible at teaching children it was okay to be sad, or angry, or any emotion under the sun, but to enjoy the times you smile.

But yeah, Zelda wrote a homerun with that post. Such class.

Frown: Lost a bet and had to grow a mustache.

Smile: I've received compliments on my mustache, and although I (and my guy friends) think I look like a Creep-o, women seem to dig it. However it does feel weird not being in law enforcement, or pornography and having a mustache.

I've been itching about this all morning, I was up early and the first thing I did was turn on the news and at that excact moment the prompt across the bottom was in reference to Zelda and this situation. I was compelled today to post something positive for her even if she wouldn't see, I love racketboy as an outlet because I have friends here and hope to touch people with my words and experience.

Mr. Williams was a remarkable person and his humor is therapy of a special kind as I grew up watching him, it was a shock and very sad when it all happened. Honestly I don't believe it was a sadistic situation but an illness that lead to this result, which many people endure. However lets not look or judge that aspect and honor which was left behind a man of pure genius who touched everyone in one way or another, his legacy in our hearts and our prayers to his loved ones. He will be missed but not forgotten.

He was a strong man for dealing with illness but still over coming to provided his epic special talent to us all.

My life is a meld of such people, the power of mind, spirit and soul will connect us. That's why I think it's important to support one another as strength will come in numbers.

I myself at 33 still struggle to find purpose when things are grim but it does not stop me from pushing forward, as dark as times can be I find the best medicine is to help someone who may not have the strength to overcome their opposition. Great people will not die until they leave their mark.

I had some rock bottom moments these past few months as my personal life has taken some turns, but I'm trying to take charge of myself again. I spoke to mother recently which I only contact when things over encumbered, we spoke for an hour or so and the best advise I ever heard and needed to hear " God does not put obstacles in front of us that we can not over come"

Wow, made so much sense as I realized I was my biggest enemy and it was time to be strong again like I always knew I was. Some time we can't blame ourselves for what happens to us in this life as it can be out of our control and not our fault. But we can always take a negative and turn it to a positive.

-- this is all straight from my mind, please excuse any grammar or puzzling wording.. I can fix that :)

Smiles: Might get a promotion coupled with a 25% pay increase. I'm working hard for it. If I don't get one I'm not disappointed but the position is open and I'm a prime candidate.

Either way my schedule will finally be dropping to less hours so I don't work every day of my life any more. The catch is I'll be getting up at 4AM - a small price to pay for a normal 35 hour schedule and 3 days off a week. I'll be able to pick up some online courses as a result.

They're also laying fibre optic internet lines up the mountain. Now, it'll be a while and I might not even be here when they're finished but either way I'm happy that it's finally happening. I don't mind most things about the satellite connection but the 10GB a month data limit is pitiful.

Frown: Today is my Friday. That's great except for the fact that I've already got 55 hours under my belt this week, and I've been working like this for about two months. I'm so exhausted. Today should be pretty slow and easy going though. Can't be worse than yesterday, there shouldn't be any chance of a case of Jalapenos exploding all over.

:) Think I might go as a Warboy for the Halloween party this year. I'm just not sure if I can pull off the shirtless look, and I also kinda don't want to paint my body white. Buuut, I need something recognizable, and I can't think of much else that wouldn't be really annoying to wear at a party.

:) Spent a fortune on seamless gutters but they were worth every penny. Can finally enjoy a big thunderstorm (like the one right now) without worrying about flooding and drainage issues.
