You need to get on that Link Between Worlds.

Wait, so you HAVE beaten Link: The Faces of Evil?prfsnl_gmr wrote: Yeah...I agree. Both Twilight Princess and Zelda II are fantastic games. As someone who has completed all but five games in the Legend of Zelda series (i.e., Four Swords Adventure, Link Between Worlds, Skyward Sword, Wand of Gamelon, and Zelda's Adventure), I really don't understand how anyone can view them negatively. (That's OK, however, because if we all liked the same things, I wouldn't have such extraordinary taste.)
Don't think the CD-I games should "count" anyway. They're fanfiction shovelware.
And yeah, Zelda games are almost always top-notch. When ranking the best games on any Nintendo system there's at least one (or more) Zelda titles in the top 5. With one exception - the lowest point of the entire series is probably those two DS games.

No...I just got my titles miwed up.
Spirit Tracks is my least favorite game in the series, but even it wasn't that bad.BoneSnapDeez wrote:With one exception - the lowest point of the entire series is probably those two DS games.

Re: Games Beaten 2015
Bad Zelda games are still pretty great overall, for my money.
There are a lot of games I absolutely love that would be in by bottom 5 Zelda games. The only one I don't really enjoy is original Zelda, and that's more to do with how dated it feels and how obtuse it is than it being 'bad'.
But yeah, I'd but the DS games right down there too. They'd be pretty solid if they weren't Zelda games, but as Zelda titles they're a bit of a let down.

Or are we not including those as Zelda games?

I just take it as given that we aren't personally.BoringSupreez wrote:"I'm so hungry, I could eat an octorock!"alienjesus wrote:Bad Zelda games are still pretty great overall, for my money.

For what it's worth, Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil are very impressive and well constructed games considering the awful hardware they were running on.

Beat King of Demons three separate times. Bad ending, good ending (no-death run), and on Hard. Not a bad game, quite short, though. Definitely feels like an NES platformer transplanted to the SNES.

Games Beaten 2015
First 50 of the year:
NotGTAV - - PC
Flower - PS4
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture- PS4
Towerfall - PS4
Cyberbots - PS1
Battletoads (Arcade) - Xbox One
Forza Horizon 2 presents Fast and Furious - Xbox One
Gunman Clive 2 - 3DS
Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions - Vita
Rocket League - PS4 *new*
Far Cry 4 - PS4 *new*
Total: 61
Previously: 2014 | The First 400 Games
Rocket League is my top contender for GOTY so far (no, really!), and I finally sat down and played through the season mode, which produces credits and a sense that it has been "beaten." I've probably played at least 20 more matches since beating it, though, so this one will stay in regular rotation for a while
Far Cry 4 is a fun game. It is probably one of the most engaging and largest open world games I've encountered, and it does a good job of cementing the series for me as one that is worth going back to from time to time. I still think Far Cry 2 is king, but this is a very solid game that anyone who enjoys FPS/RPG hybrids should really find to be worth their time.
Now that Far Cry 4 is finished I feel better about diving into my collector's edition copy of MGSV! I hear that one is quite long, but I am very much looking forward to it! I'll be playing through smaller games along the way (e.g. Her Story), and am trying to get this list closer to 75 titles by the time September is out. We shall see...

Re: Games Beaten 2015
I beat Sega Rally Championship 2 on the Sega Dreamcast this afternoon!
Not much to talk about here, but the game is a really fun Rally game. The controls are great, the graphics are really good for an early Dreamcast game and it is just a blast to play. Really fun and I want to keep playing it to see if I can complete it.
