Re: Together Retro: Urban Strike
I've played the Game Gear version for two days now (on the Game Gear). Unfortunately, I don't have the manual, and I can't find the text online. Does anyone have a link? So far, I can complete a few objectives in Mission 1 and that's it. It's not that bad of a game. It's just a little hard to see th...

Re: Together Retro: Urban Strike
Future Cop: LAPD is considered a hidden gem on the PS1, so I encourage everyone to play it sometime. It's pretty bad ass. Lots of explosions! Check out the comment section on the video below. The reviewer is kind of dull, but the commentors are very enthusiastic about the game. m As for Together Ret...

Re: Together Retro: NBA Jam
Now that other affairs in my life have been wrapped up, I'll be giving this game a dribble tonight.

Nice blog post, and I agree with a lot of it. I'm not sure if that version has the checkpoints that are so helpful in the Sega CD version. If it doesn't, then it's probably impossible to play the game.

Re: Together Retro: Ecco The Dolphin
this game is a total asshole. I haven't been able to bring myself to play it in over a week. I'm pretty sure I was the one who nominated it, having never played it. Or at least I seconded the nomination. But whatever. It's so hard. I feel like I'm being punished when I make myself play it. But I st...

Re: Together Retro: Ecco The Dolphin
I just bought the Genesis version. I am excited to try this game for the first time. I was thinking about buying that one too because when I see videos of it online, I think the music sounds nice, even though I have the Sega CD version. It seems like the Sega CD version replaced good music with goo...

Re: Together Retro: Ecco The Dolphin
I just wanted to give my final thoughts on the Sega CD version of Ecco. The game seems to have a magical quality to it, with the aquatic decor, the soothing music, and the storyline about a dolphin trying to find his pod. I really enjoyed the small scale problem solving that occurs in most of the st...

Re: Together Retro: Ecco The Dolphin
Update: I used the password to get to the queen and died 10 more times. Each time I die, it sends me back to the machine, so I have to reset and type the password again. Beating this game is like trying to pass a 10 pound kidney stone. I don't mean to be condescending and I'm probably being annoyin...

Re: Together Retro: Ecco The Dolphin
I died 10 more times playing the machine today. Pretty early in the stage actually. Even though I beat it three times yesterday, I don't have the stomach to play the stage any more. There's no telling how many times the boss is going to kill me anyway, and spit me back into the Machine. I'm going to...
