Re: Current state of online Dreamcast games

Wow I was just thinking of seeing if there was a way to play AFO these days and found this. I will definitely be investigating the DreamPi.

Re: N64 S-Video Cables

Agree, not a good idea, keep the composite unplugged! Some TVs will detect the composite signal and revert to that, reducing the video separation of the SVideo. This defeats the whole purpose of having the SVideo plugged in keeping the Chroma Luma signals isolated. This was my thought on the S-vide...

This game has been synonymous with Halloween (at least for me) since the early 90s. Highly recommended!

Also Ghostbusters on the Genesis.

Re: N64 S-Video Cables

I only heard the dual s-video/composite cables created a checkered look on the screen. Many forums mentioned that, but it is hard to find out without actually testing a cable.

Crtgamer, any way to tell if a set of cables are good? Any recommendations?

N64 S-Video Cables

Are the Monster S-Video cables worth the $70 they are going for these days? I see plenty of 3rd party cables (always avoid the ones with the yellow plug so I am told) as well as the official Nintendo branded ones. The official Nintendo cables seem to be going for around $25-30. So I would assume the...

I usually don't go in for these Vs. battle things due to fanboism, but this one was pretty entertaining.

Supreme Court Case Impact on Second Hand Game Selling...

This case is not specifically about video games or software, but textbooks. Basically, publishers are looking to limit reselling of their copyrighted works (a right called "First sale" - that allows owners to resell, lend out, or give away copyrighted goods without interference.). Ebay law...

Re: NEC Turbografx-16/Turbo Duo/PC Engine Guide

Great guide as well. I am thinking of jumping into the TG16 world and have been similarly confused. A slightly unrelated question though: many of the games I want to play on the TG16 are already on the Virtual Console. Do you think the investment worth it? I don't own a Wii either and have never rea...

Local Retro Gaming Clubs/Groups

So I love retro gaming. Unfortunately for me, gaming is a solitary hobby. Sure I have friends who play CoD or Halo together (online only though), but modern games, specifically online games, just are not fun. There is no real social element. I really wish I knew more people who got together to play ...
