Re: Ninten-Drawer - A New 72-Pin Connector for the NES

This did interest me. I already need to get my NES modded to circumvent the region lockout chip, so this might be a nice way to do that myself without needing a modder.

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024

I finished up the last game I was played yesterday, so today I started up my first summer game. I decided to ease in with something a bit shorter and less challenging, so I opted for Spyro the Dragon. I have actually played this one before - I started it a few years ago, played through some of the f...

Re: Backloggery launched their new site!

Yep, I use the backloggery a lot so I've been keeping track of the new site update. I'm with Markies in that there's things I preferred about the old site but there's lots of quality of life updates with the new one that I like as well. I think a lot of things where I preferred the old site might be...

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024

So what I'm going to do is ask the willing among you for two video game recommendations -- just two -- and I'll pick my titles from the resulting pool for the summer. I won't be able to get to many of them, and I can't promise I'll finish what I start. I just want to dabble a bit and enjoy everyone...

Re: Let's try to predict the Switch 2 launch lineup

Just to expand on Marurun's post, the vast majority of Nintendo's IP this generation has been from studios outside of Nintendo's internal development. Nintendo themselves were responsible for some of the big hitters like the mainline Mario games, Zelda games, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, a...

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024

And as per usual, I've already been thinking about my own list. I think I've whittled it down to 10, but I'll post some of my runners-up after my list in case others are playing them too and I might want to swap them in! 1. Faxanadu (NES) 2. Phantasy Star Online (GC) 3. Donkey Kong Country Returns (...

Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024

As per annual tradition here at Racketboy, summer is the season for the Summer Games Challenge. What is the Summer Games Challenge? Coined long ago by forum member Snickerd00dle, the goal of the Summer Games Challenge is to play a choose a list of 'classic' games you've never played before and attem...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Not getting a promotion because it’s not a career is bollocks. You’ll have a way easier time getting a new job doing literally anything else if you can demonstrate you had some kind of drive and determination that was recognised in your previous role. Sure, it’s not likely to get you a job in film s...
