I grew up with nintendo so I kinda stuck with them, but I do want to expand and get some sega consoles.

Lag can not be fixed by nintendo. They dont handle the matches, only match making. So only you can try to make matches lag free.

Do this by using bo items, less players, not as fancy stages, better connection, wired connection, secruity settings on your router.
