Re: Really like Witcher 2, how is Mass Effect Trilogy?
I think the Mass Effect trilogy contains the highest highs and lowest lows of the previous generation and thus warrants a go for most gamers. It's a fantastic sci fi story that started out great, but suffered the consequences of popularity which tends to favor lowest common denominator gameplay and ...

Still not sure it was worth the time investment but Alternative was a great experience. Everything else this ye...

Re: Time to play RPGs
I'll echo going portable opens up tons of possibilities. I've got a pretty hectic work schedule myself and also try to balance gaming with other personal pursuits. I think my timing constraints pushed my habits more towards either indie titles or visual novels. I just couldnt be bothered with grindi...

Totally with you on that one. I cant stand poetic/iambic style writing. Way too distracting pulls me right out of what Im reading.

Re: Maybe games just aren't the medium for truly great stori
I think games are already a medium for truly great stories. Granted, we have yet to see an equivalent of Atlas Shrugged or Moby Dick but let's look at this with some proper perspective. Books and I'll add movies have been around for such a long time to evolve and become tools to tell great stories. ...

Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
About halfway through Planescape Torment and thoroughly engrossed in the story and plight of the nameless one. This is a second attempt at a playthrough actually. I couldnt really give the game the kind of attention it commands with the endless text/choices/ descriptions. The quality of writing incr...
