Re: Together Retro: Half-Life

I've already played HL and both expansions, but I never finished Black Mesa, so I think I'll go back to that.

Re: Current gen hidden gems

That one was a pleasant surprise for me. The anime series-like structure, the insanely over the top moments, the weird but fun gameplay, it all came together really well and I had a ton of fun with it. It took me a while to get into it at first, but after that it was cool journey all the way to the ...

Re: Together Retro: Wing Commander

I ended up losing that first Brimstone mission, but I've won the other two and still went on to Kurasawa. The first mission wasn't so hard. The dreaded mission two I lost, and the third one too. Man, I give up, escort missions just aren't my thing. It was hard hearing the captain's disappointed spee...

Re: Together Retro: Wing Commander

Yeah, I eventually figured that out when I started messing with the autopilot. It really makes a world of difference, because that thing was travelling at 100 kps

Re: Together Retro: Wing Commander

I see. I understand that purists or old fans might enjoy that, but I really prefer the smooth gameplay. In this version the framerate always stays the same, whether there's one ship on screen or a handful of them. I realize that playing this version is a compromise, and I won't get what you may call...

Re: Together Retro: Wing Commander

I really hate dosbox. It's partially my fault, I'm a noob at tit and can't seem to properly set it up, but after browsing the web I could see that I wasn't the only one having trouble with it. People talk about perfect emulation, but I encountered nothing but problems, from the mouse support (ever a...

Re: Together Retro: Wing Commander

Tried what you said about the mouse sensitivity and it worked, it's much easier to navigate through the Claw now.

I think I'll put some more time into it, see if I can at least beat the first mission.
