Re: In Facebook or Myspace or any other thingy..
I also only use Facebook for people I actually know/have met. That being said, a surprising number of my FB friends are people I knew in middle and high school, but wasn't close friends with. If I do interact with people on there, it's only with a handful of my FB friends, who are family and close f...

Re: My new master system!
Astro Warrior is a decent shmup. I think it came built-in on some models, so it might be on yours. Choplifter and Aleste/Power Strike are great.
Psychic World is also a cool platformer to get.

Re: City simulators
I should also add that I've played some of the newer console Sim City games, like Sim City Creator on both the Wii and NDS. I couldn't stand using the motion controls on the Wii version. And while the NDS version was somewhat limited (no terrain editing for one thing) it allowed you to build a city ...

Re: City simulators
Never heard of Afterlife, but looking at the Wiki article it looks pretty neat. I'll have to see if there's a way for me to try it out. I used to have a few spare 486 machines laying around but no longer do.

City simulators
A general thread on city simulators, one of my favorite gaming genres. In the past I've spent countless hours on the Sim City series, from the DOS version of the original game up to Sim City 4, and enjoyed each version pretty thoroughly. Of those, Sim City 4 would have to be my favorite, both throug...

Re: A game collector on an episode of Hoarders
One important part of the diagnosis that they are considering is “Persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions, regardless of their actual value.” This means that you're only a hoarder if you collect sports games. Guess that includes me then, as I have a stack of old Madden games th...

The earliest off the top of my head is Dodge 'Em for the Atari 2600. I may or may not have some earlier 2600 stuff too.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I made a startling discovery today that leftover liver and onions goes great with a chilled cucumber soup.
Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who put sugar on cheese sandwiches when I was about ten years old.

Re: Have you ever bought games for consoles you don't own?
Kinda. When I first began collecting, I picked up a Power Base Converter for the Genesis I had had since I was little, and bought a couple Master System games to play. I still don't actually own a Master System, though I may pick one up eventually. I also picked up a copy of Aleste for the Mark III,...
