Re: Why is there no proper way to emulate XBOX on PC?
One of the reasons a proper emulator hasn't been developed for OXbox is probably due to the community. Yes, there is allot of undocumented hardware in the system. Yes, developing an emulator isn't easy. However, the above didn't stop the Saturn (check out recent mednafen builds), PS1, Wii, ect, ect....

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
I thought the PS2 3D models looked boring compared to the 2D hand drawn sprites of the original. Say what you will about the look of the sprites (personally, I think the sprites look like a free-to-play MMO), however, the 3D models make everything move smoother. The game is just more fun to play wi...

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
but I was glad that they got rid of the pointless motorcycle pseudo open world crap. The pseudo-open world was better then "the menu" in 2. You could collect Lovikov Balls and explorer an, admittedly empty, city in the first. No More Heroes 2 didn't fix the open world, it just removed it ...

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
The PC version of Ys 6 is utter dog shit. The PS2 version is perfection. Also, No More Heroes 2 takes everything good from the first game and rams a bat to it's kneecaps. It sucks. Their should never have been a sequel. EDIT: Also, the PS3 remake of the original game destroys the art direction. It s...

Re: RGB Modding a NES is a Terrible Idea
LOL do you even know what's involved in an NESRGB install? No parts are wasted since it uses the original PPU so there's no cannibalizing anything . I meant cannibalizing in the sense that your removing the NES's original color space. However, Ghegs informed me that you can still switch back to YIQ...

It's an official product but it wasn't produced by Nintendo.
Regardless, I discount the Famicom Titler for the same Reason I discount the PC10. They both use the same PPU for RGB (AKA, the same broken colors).

Re: RGB Modding a NES is a Terrible Idea
Question though: how does the existence of the Famicom Titler affect your assertion that NES/Famicom games shouldn't ever be RGB officially? Famicom Titler was produced by Sharp. It uses the same RGB from the PlayChoice-10 and it is wonky at best. It even brakes certain games due to not applying co...

Re: RGB Modding a NES is a Terrible Idea
So, since there is no clear baseline, no "100% authentic colors", we can pretty safely say that the NESRGB's palette is just as valid as a non-modded system's. Yes, as Anapan said, the original hardware will never give you the same color twice. However, I consider this inconsistency to be...

Re: RGB Modding a NES is a Terrible Idea
Except... it's not emulating emulation? It's original hardware running the games perfectly, with the highest quality video you can get? Yes, but it is making original hardware adapt the estimated RGB colors that emulators use. Which in turn is an estimate of real hardware YIQ colors. See what I'm g...

RGB Modding a NES is a Terrible Idea
Why do people do this? m Your basically throwing the NES's original YIQ color space out the window and replacing it with an eye balled RGB palette that emulators use (it uses the default color palette of Nintendulator and FCEUX). These palette's are literally made by comparing colors produced on a C...
