Accessing a TV service menu through a universal remote
I recently bought a Sony WEGA 24" (KV-24FV300) for playing older gaming consoles on. Unfortunately, the person I bought it from didn't include a remote for the TV. I didn't think this would be a problem until I wanted to get into the service menu to adjust the picture. The way to get into the s...

Re: Starting a new NES collection. Should I buy an Analogue
there are also some toploaders out there. They'll cost a little bit more, but you wont have to worry about jiggling the cart inside the nes. Unless you want the full retro look of the classic nes. All that extra money left over from not spending $500 bucks will get you lots of games. There are stil...

Re: Starting a new NES collection. Should I buy an Analogue
Sadly the NES from my childhood didn't survive so I'm looking at my options. Do you still have the non-working unit? If I were you I'd at least do a case swap with a referb. I'd kill to have my original NES from my childhood, working or not I'm not sure if I still have it. I left it at my parents h...

Re: Starting a new NES collection. Should I buy an Analogue
Joke thread? If not, then what exactly are you looking to do with the NES? Run it to what kind of TV? Play Famicom games? Do you need upscaling or scanlines? Need a bit more detail. Cleaning up and getting an NES to work isn't that hard, but it all depends on what your plans are. Nope it's not a jo...

Starting a new NES collection. Should I buy an Analogue Nt?
Sadly the NES from my childhood didn't survive so I'm looking at my options. Authentic hardware is important to me, so I'm not looking at anything that emulates. I think the Analogue Nt looks pretty great, but it's super expensive. $500 wouldn't break the bank, but I honestly don't think have the pa...

Re: Got a new gameboy in the mail today :)
My 2 cents: Put a screen protector on that faceplate ASAP! As cool and convienent as the swapable faceplates were, they scratch so freakin easily, and replacements are near impossible to come across online. Do you know of any good ones? I normally hate them, but if I can get ahold of something good...

Re: Got a new gameboy in the mail today :)
Haha, how ironic; I got mine a week ago CIB (new ) and am afraid to scratch it Luckily I have another Micro to play games from. I have another one as well, but I'm going to play the hell out of this one. I'm pretty careful with handhelds, plus there's no point in buying it if I'm not going to use i...

Re: Got a new gameboy in the mail today :)
Nice grab. I've been wanting one of those Fami GBs for a while. Sexiest GB color scheme EVER I totally agree. I love the color scheme of the Famicom edition and the form factor of the micro. This is probably my favorite handheld. It's just a shame that it came out at the very end of the GBA lifeline.

Got a new gameboy in the mail today :)

I can't wait to get playing soon. I just wish I could find some backup faceplates for it. They're impossibly hard to find and expensive.
