Re: Switch Discussion Thread

I don't know if anyone here is interested in the physical version of Walking Dead The Final Season, but just to warn you guys who hate this kind of thing, it's one of those silly season pass type of deals. Only the first episode is on the cartridge, whilst the rest have to be downloaded (and - I'm ...

Re: SNES Classic coming September 29th

Seem plentiful. Seen a quite few lined out in the local chain of trade-in shops. Granted, CeX are charging 140e/$173 for the privilege of owning a 2nd hand one, so maybe they're just not shifting.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far

If you like Smash Brothers, then more power to you. It was never my cup of tea. Same. Played and completed Brawl (which I've been told is doing it wrong) and just found the whole thing a bit too chaotic. Actually kinda jealous of people into it, looks tremendous fun if you can get to grips with it.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still seems to be selling like a mother. Looked in like 10 stores yesterday for a copy and got lucky in store 11 as they'd literally just gotten in a couple copies.

In other news, MK8 Deluxe is absolutely loaded with stuff.

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?

Sonic Adventure games occupy a weird place for me in that I'm pretty sure I hated 95% of my time playing them, but there was something ticking away there that compelled me to keep going. Granted, probably still bitter that 2 makes you do an incredible amount of nonsense just to play as Sonic in a So...

Re: Games Beaten 2016

I pretty much agree 100%. 3 gets a lot of love for just how crazy over the top it gets, but for me it's just too frustrating to really enjoy - way too many cheap shots. The pinnacle of the series in terms of playability for me is probably still the first game. Unlike most though, I really like Meta...

Re: Games Beaten 2016

Games Beaten 2016. 1. Metal Slug X (PC) 2. Metal Slug 2 (PC) 3. Metal Slug 3 (PC) I went into 3 with high expectations. So often do I see sitting atop 'best Metal Slug' list that I figured it'd be the pinnacle of the original SNK run of the series. Were my expectations met? Yes and no. Yes, in terms...

Re: Favorite traditional 2D platformers?

Castle of Illusion remake (Better than Ducktales Remastered and it even came with the original) Never touched the original and went into this relatively blind. Enjoyed the short run-time of it, but the fact, even after you die, it locks its final boss behind an unskippable cut-scene went ways to bu...

Re: EVO 2015

Was the speculation as to Gamerbee being within his rights to take the game, rather than only the round, just waffle, then?

Re: Together Retro: Psychonauts

Did everyone stop by the 'secret' room in Milla's world? I stick 'secret' in inverted commas as I've seen it mentioned as an Easter egg, but from my playthrough, there's an audio track blaring that somewhat points you in its direction. It's every bit as spooky as the legend suggest, mind.
