Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello Racketboy, I am a retro gamer known as Painkiller. I love the NES and SNES the most! To tell you a little more about myself, I am also working on an Internet web site project with a majority of it devoted to retro gaming and heavy metal, especially from the '80s and '90s. Unlike the current tr...

Re: Favorite Heavy Metal Bands?
Bump. Let's keep the metal going, fellas!
Anyway, anyone into the American band Dokken? I find that they stand out much better as a band with their own unique sound than the majority of L.A. hard rock/heavy metal bands.

Re: Favorite Heavy Metal Bands?
So far, I've mainly listened to Individual Thought Patterns and Human (this one considered to be Death's greatest by so many of their fans). I hear Leprosy is also another great one -- might want to give that one a try myself.

Re: Favorite Heavy Metal Bands?
CDs sound better if you take a green marker (it MUST be green!) and color the edge of the disc with it Sounds risky... I won't bother unless you can elaborate further. I'm kidding Crap! Too late! You had me using a green Sharpie on my Venom - Welcome to Hell CD! Kidding, of course. And I don't even...

Re: Favorite Heavy Metal Bands?
Meh, MP3 isn't worth it because the quality is uber shit. Best thing you can do is just rip your CDs into lossless audio formats (such as .WAV). The more MB a song is, the higher the digital quality! It's also vital to have wooden tuning knobs on your receiver and replace any plastic outlet covers ...

Re: Favorite Heavy Metal Bands?
Honestly, I just go to websites like YouTube and GrooveShark to hear a lot of their stuff. Sure, I don't have the convenience of a CD or MP3 to take with me, but while I'm at home working on my computer, it's nice to have in the background. Meh, MP3 isn't worth it because the quality is uber shit. ...

Re: Favorite Heavy Metal Bands?
Iron Maiden, without a shadow of a doubt my favourite metal band of all time - I love all varieties of metal though, I'll listen to anything from NWOBHM to Black Metal and everything in between. Also a big fan of Down and Opeth - I'm not that fond of Opeth's recent output (Still Life, ftw!), but th...
