Well thank freaking god I still have mvc2 on my dreamcast. As for ultimate I better buy the downloads next week and get the game after Xmas. Because of this people better buy the ps2 and xbox versions before they skyrocket again.

Why would the price go up? The people that are willing to settle for a digital copy would just emulate.

I concur. And don't for get backups one can play right on their Dreamcasts console which in the case of MVC2, with custom soundtracks and character colors.

Many are attributing this to an expired Marvel license... if such is the case, then what does that make of MVC Origins???

For 360 owners. It looks like the sale for these 2 games will take affect tomorrow. All umvc3 DLC will be 75% off including the mvc2 game. Digital version of UMVC3 will be 83%! now that's a damn sweet deal imo.

Just knowing that these will never be available again makes me want to buy them. even though I'm not big into fighters these days. If not for this thread, I might never have known

The PSN and Live ports of MVC 2 was shoddy at best anyways.. Best to play it on DC or PS2.. The Xbox 1 version is decent as well.. MVC 3 well whatever, you can always buy a physical copy..

That may be, but they are plenty viable considering it has online play and a decent netcode to boot, not to mention a small community that still play it in this form. Rather play these versions over the OG Xbox port, but that's just me I guess.
