Picked up one of these off eBay for about $34USD, what they are worth really. Controllers are horrible but can use 1st party ones which fixes the issue, played some Altered Beast and Lion King off cartridges, sound is slightly off, but for ease of use (my Retron 5 slots are all mangled) on my HDTV, nice and easy.

Hyperkin quality is so bad they make ATGames newest recreated Genesis hardware come off smelling like roses which is nuts. That is a fair deal for that thing too.

Hey surprise, paid $3 today and got PS1 Warcraft II at a goodwill, best single game deal I've had out of one of those probably in two years now or longer. Another $3 got a white wiimote+nunchuk+strap and rubber grip for it too. I was shocked, just saw a CD disc sitting sideways thrown on the shelf of probably a 1000 jewel cases. I thought it was something warcraft, but then when I tilted it and saw playstation my eyes popped out, especially seeing they didn't price it upwards. That one store is known for going ebay on stuff, they missed the boat. :)

$ 5 for all. Might be interesting to try some of these out.

Yesterday went well, skipped the lousy flea for a neighborhood garage sale and got a rare stroke of luck. First house the NES setup for 30. Next door not pictured got 3 portable chairs free, one reclines even. Then like nothing but the last house for 10 that Nikon 12MP camera and 2 memory cards w/it and another 2 got that entire GBA setup (no battery door.) Driving by a church yard sale got the Tiger game for a dollar. Needless to say very pleased. Just need to decide as I'm up to 2 spare GBAs now how far to go ahead fixing them up, body + glass lens work, or all the way.

Oh, favorite thrift store.....how I love thee.....

You gift me with awesome game collections, a CDX, a pile of complete Odyssey 2 games and, today, you surprise me with this...

Not that I need another NES system/controllers/power adapter, but seriously... How often do you find a boxed system like this at the thrift store? I couldn't just not buy it. It would have been some sort of retro-gaming crime.

Nice one. That's the very boxed up unit I pieced together earlier this year over a few months for under $50. It's a great little console package and reminds me that now you can play light gun games on LCDs too just not with that but the lame modern knockoff one. But hey at least Duck Hunt won't be useless still that you got with it.

Niceee ... my family got the NES Action Set right when they released that bundle, Christmas of '88.

Then I got the Game boy Tetris bundle Christmas of '89 from Santa ...

Rest is history  here I am almost 30 years later.

Picked up a couple of issues of Akira and a posterzine (#1) for it as well today, but I can't find any information on the posterzine online to see what it's worth. Can't really find any sold listings. Anyone know anything about it?

Also bought a MAD carboard record, which was neat. Only spent 30 bucks on everything.
