Have you given up on buying SNES?/Cheap SFC recommendations
Re: Have you given up on buying SNES games?
Makes sense for the expensive games to consider getting an Everdrive SNES clone, like the cheaper Chinese ones, that way you can play the games on original hardware without paying silly money, still get the far more reasonable games as original. It's like N64 games too - some are just a few pounds, there are some titles that would cost £100 or more.

I've been wanting to get into Super Famicom collecting, but all I've got are two of the three Fire Emblems (still trying to find a sale for Thracia 776 that I can afford).
SD:The Great Battle: Ebay Price £3.99

Cute top down run and gun with four selectable SD characters from Japanese pop culture to select from. The game has an awesome soundtrack, the gameplay is fun, it has some need parallax scrolling and nice varied stages to blast through. The options and menu is in English and there's minimal Japanese text in the story sequences. I really enjoyed it...so much so that i bought the disappointing sequel (which is a 2d scrolling beat-em up for a similar price!)
The third game in the series is available for a similar price. It's also a 2d beat-em-up but is a Golden Axe parody (albeit with the same cast) and is allegedly much better than the disappointing sequel.

Done with it. Picked up a SD2SNES cart recently. Very happy with the purchase. Kept my StarFox & SMario RPG carts

Re: Have you given up on buying SNES games?
I picked up the last of the "heavy hitters" I care about earlier in the year - E.V.O. and Harvest Moon. Hilariously I was able to purchase E.V.O. by cashing in spare change I found around the house. Don't know if that's worth bragging about or being ashamed of. Both games are very expensive, but I figured I should get 'em now before prices climb even more in a year or two. I snagged the remainder of (North American) Saturn games I needed for the same reason.
Really the only SNES games I still want are a small handful of RPGs (mostly Western stuff) and randoms like F-Zero and Contra III. There are still TONS of Super Famicom exclusives I've been eyeing though.

You still need F-Zero and Contra III?
One SFC exclusive I'd like is Jaki Crush, third in the Naxat Soft Crush series.

Been debating getting a super famicom to own carts of some of the more expensive NA games. Like the megaman games and dracula x.

Picked this one up cheap:
Syonen Ashibe (Syo the seal): Ebay Price £3

It's a licensed platformer but it plays very nicely. There's some Japanese text in the game on the overworld map but nothing of note, the passwords are in English and the levels themself are pure platforming and minigames.
Each stage involves finding 8 hidden items then finding a goal, you can't hurt enemies although you have a charge attack to headbut scenery and release hidden items.
There's platforming and swimming sections and a variety of minigames. It's definately a well made game for a licensed kids game with a graphical stlye that recalls DoReMi Fantasy.
It seems to be very cheap everywhere.

I bought Lufia 2 just a few months ago but I think thats the last of the expensive SNES titles I will going after. I just bought a SD2SNES and I hoping that will keep me satisfied enough to stay away from adding more shelf candy.

I'll buy that game sooner or later, but it will be a bootleg from Aliexpress. I try not to buy bootlegs of games that were commercially available when they are available at a reasonable fee but since neither buying the game second hand or buying a bootleg rewards the rights holder I have little moral concern over the two, only a (selfish) financial one.
I could just as easily download the Rom and reward nobody but I do appreciate having a physical cart, even if it's a high quality forgery.
