i wonder if this is more suited for the whatever section...? does anyone remember instructional video games videos? i bought one from the clearance table at toys 'r us about 12 years ago for 90 cents, it was narrated by the "world video game champion", i think his name was chip something-or-other. it had an in depth guide to beating metal gear on the nes, and some other games that they didn't go into as much. anyone remember anything like that?

Was that the tape that also covered TMNT1? I had that.

I'd be awesome if you could capture it and put it on youtube. I'd love to see it again.

i lost the vhs long ago unfortunately. i'm wondering how many of such things were made though. i remember buying a lot of books from the scholastic books catlogs given to us periodically in elementary school, and i got a few video game tip books once in a while ("unathorized" and third party books of course). but i think vhs was a way cooler format for that kind of thing

Agreed. We would watch those VHS tapes simply because we sucked at games when we were little. I'd never actually gotten past the second city in TMNT, but thanks to that video, I got to see the entire game. Shredder looked retarded at the end.
