GBA: built-in speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
GBA: built-in speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
How do you listen to the audio output of your little GBA? I know it has some weaknesses, but I find the built in speakers really accentuate those flaws. Just by putting on a decent pair of headphones I'm finding new life breathed into the games I play.
Re: GBA: built-in speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
Having to stick on those tiny headphones every time you want to play a game would be a pain.
Re: GBA: built-in speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
I play with headphones as much as I can..Though when I am not able to, the speakers are much better than nothing..Anyway, I would say go for the headphones every time you can
I've got no signature.

One of the only upgrades that DS provides to GBA play is the stereo speakers. I really wish GBA had stereo speakers. Hell, the original gameboy should have, considering that it said DOT MATRIX WITH STEREO SOUND right on the fucking unit. With GB and GBA, you could only get stereo if you used headphones.

I never knew that the GBA didn't have stereo sound. Seems like it really should of.Mozgus wrote:One of the only upgrades that DS provides to GBA play is the stereo speakers. Never owned one.

The GBA does have stereo... via the headphone jack/adapter. But it only has a single speaker in the unit itself, thus mono without something extra attached.
