Yes, I finally posted on RoomPlay again:

I recently jumped into High-Definition-TV-Land without spending a whole lot.
Slim CRTs are the best way to go if you don't want a big bill.

Anybody else have one?

Damn! Sounds fantastic. You think just like I do. Even though I finally switched to an LCD for my comp, it was only because of the 3 year warantee. I know if I ever do get an HDTV, it would have to be a CRT, and I didn't know they squeezed them down to an even smaller size. Can you take some multiple angled pictures for us? I'd love to see.

Yeah, I'll try to get some pics up soon.
I just went to Best Buy tonight and saw they actually had my Slimfit TV on sale for $374. They just keep getting cheaper!
Seriously, if you're in the market for a TV, you need to check them out :)

That is cheap! I really need a new tv, too.

If I was going HD, I would buy a CRT too. Slimfit or Regular, whichever was cheaper.
I saw a really nice 40" philips CRT HDTV (widescreen and everything) for like $400.

I don't think it was a slim one, but it was so beautiful. Solid black, flat-screen, widescreen...
It stood out from every other TV in the store.

Now that I think about it, the price may have been $600-something.
I think $400 was a different TV.

That sounds more like it -- but still pretty good.
I haven't seen a slim CRT above 27", but maybe soon.

BTW, I'm not much for widescreen since my games and archived TV shows down support it.

Talking about great deals. My lucky as son of a bitch cousin loves to stop by pawn shops for power tools and he saw a couple amps the other day that he picked up for a sound system I'm building.

While buying it the guy offered him a damn 50" LCD HDTV for 600 freakin' dollars!!!!!! Though I personally prefer CRT over LCD or Plasma... you just can't beat that deal.

hahahaha... possibly. But we don't need to know that much. That just means there is no warranty on it. But hey at 600 bones I'd be willing to let that one slide.
