I just wanted to say. This game stole a couple of weeks of my life. Hudson made, really nice graphics, only four levels. But.. addicting and a tease imo, should have been longer and got a little more love.

I remember Omega Five to be a pretty cool game, I just have to remember why I wasn't compelled to finish it. I liked the dual analog control scheme, but that put off many traditional shoot 'em up fans.

I appreciate any game in the genre that attempts to do something a little different, even if not totally successful. In Omega Five's case, the controls make sense given the propensity of the d-pad to do as it pleases instead of what you may have believed you pressed.

I feel like it's one of those games where I don't remember why I am not in love with it while I'm not playing it; and then I play it and remember why. It's still good though and extremely pretty, and much better than MLB Stickball.

It's kind of like a pretty girlfriend that you get tired of quickly.

I'm thinking about picking this up, but it seems like the game doesn't get a lot of love. Can anybody add a review on it? Thanks.

So you get a single life, but you have a health bar (and the occational health pickup). The control is dual analog (like Smash TV) but it's a side scrolling shooter. My biggest complaint is the tendancy for the game to suddenly have enemies appear and get a cheap shot in at you. Also, your character is rather big compared to the screen size, so many shmup fans who are used to tiny hitboxes get thrown off by the large hitbox you have.

Thanks. I tried the demo and hated it for many reasons I won't get into. Your review pretty much summed it up.

Hmmm, I really thought it was cool.
