A friend sent me this link, and I've not seen it posted elsewhere on this site. What do you guys think of this? I can't wait, but it seems to make Tatsunoko vs Capcom kinda obselete :/

Here's to hoping they stick to 2D.

Except maybe Marvel isn't as popular in Japan.

Sweet news -- If they made it in the style of TvC, I'd be happy.

As Tatsunoko vs Capcom will never get a release outside of Japan (licensing hell) this would be a good way for Capcom to recoup development costs for the TvsC engine, assuming MvsC3 uses the same engine.

I'm just hoping they increase the roster size from MvC2's. I want Deadpool, Thor, Dante and Zero! Or else!

I just hope that if it DOES stay 2D (which I would prefer, of course) that Capcom finally redraws some of it's characters. Did you guys see Morrigan in MVC2? Christ.

Yes, it's time they redraw sprites! And having seen Deadpool done well in MUGEN, I can safely say that the character should definitely be added.

You're insane, MvC2 has the _most_ selectable charactors. I'd rather Capcom balance them out things out. When was the last time you saw Sentinal _not_ on a team? (not counting low-tier tournament, of course)

My money is on 3D the way things are going, I also would suggest that folks start thinking Ultimate Alliance style "fighting-game". MvC2 is dead in Japan, TvC and SF4 are the new kids so expect more of it. Arc is the only 2D house in town.

Well, here's hoping we see a new Guilty Gear in the mix some time soon. Or hopefully SNK will put something that isn't a compilation out. 2D doesn't need to lose another major franchise, there's fewer and fewer every year. And it would be a shame to see it die.
