I only need one reason: unique games
(ok, the Wavebird helps too...)
(and the Gameboy Player)

What do you mean still play? Why do I still play Civ II or Marathon or Monkey Island or Escape Velocity or Moon Patrol!?!!? It's because fun games do not stop being fun just because time moves forwards. I hate these presumptions... I guess these articles exist for the uncultured dullards.

IGN's list really sucks ass. Of course, IGN sucks in general.

The main reason I play my Gamecube is because it has good, fun games. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Zelda: The Wind Waker, Pac-Man Vs., Paper Mario 2 , Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Tales of Symphonia spring to mind immediately. Plus there's Super Monkey Ball 2, Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine (say what you will, but it has one of the best cameras in a video game), Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Mario Power Tennis and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures are also quality titles.

Don't forget the Gameboy Player, either. It's really nice to play some games on the TV- namely, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. Castlevania has always had good music and graphics, and while the GBA sort of ruins it, seeing it on a bigger screen and hearing it with nice speakers is pretty awesome.

I just wish the Gamecube looked.. well, sleeker. None of the current-gen consoles look sleek or anything, but the Gamecube expessially stands out. It's smallish, square and purple- it almost looks like a toy of some kind. It just doesn't look right next to a DVD player, Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360 and the like. I guess this could be solved with a Wii, but then the GBPlayer doesn't work :(.

Maybe Reggie is still hiding a GBA port in the infamous Wii slot...
