Is short. away to use a USB controller as a USB controller. Yeah ok.. I said have an open mind. Well its not just for USB its for anything but USB 2 USB is actually quite helpful. Lets go over some use cases.
Older USB adapters, Gravis now get in to the Eco system.
Mice, can be Gamepads
Keyboards can be Gampads
Mice and keyboards can be Gampads
You can remap any controller with the SD card setting in any way you like
You can use OG xbox in the Eco system
You can use the Switch, ps4,ps3, xbox, box 360, xbox one, in the ECO system
There is even support for valve
Now any of the above can work on the Atari, GC, dream cast, you name it.
Right so how does this work? Ok, at this point I either have your attention or you are bored. If unaware, let my introduce Bliss-Box. Creators of the one adapter that takes in just about any controller. This can work with the Bridge and speak any console. Or in an image...

that is basically GPA->Bridge with any input and output cables. Now remove the GPA and replace it with a device going by the name of USB2LLAPI. This is going to allow any USB input to work with the Bridge.
The device its self can not consume USB data and speak it, you only get one or the other, at this time it speaks LLAPI or Uart. If you plug it in to a PC it mounts a USB Uart bridge. You can use it with tools like VjoyFeeder. So its a poor man's USB.

If this is all you need, you save having to get the Bridge, but if you want more, then the Bride gets you a true USB, or any other output, and Blue tooth for input and output without the Bridge is being considered.
Parts of the adapter
There will be an input for USB
An SD card for data and settings
A USB output.
LEDS and buttons for programming
The Programming will involve the Uart Bridge and can be done over the web, so not OS dependency. The SD card at this time has 3 files on it
1) the log, you can set the level
2) the settings files,
it currently loo0ks like this
Logging=1
POLLRATE=0
PS4_COLOR_R=0
PS4_COLOR_G=0
PS4_COLOR_B=255
BLISSBOX_TYPE=255
XBOX1_LED=8
3) the Mapper. This file is long and has some various info, but mostly the per controller mapper.
FCT=HID

There will be a doc that explained how that all works but anything can be mapped to anything.
This is targeted to be released in 2027 but preorders may show up this year. Everything is ready for release but some attention will be given to BT capabilities first. I'd like to open up this post to both Questions and feedback. What woudl you like to see, and what woudl you like to know?
