Anyone play Minecraft?

I’ve been very much into Minecraft lately and always looking for others who like discussing. Also wondering if anyone can let me know if the sunflower trick in the Nether works for pointing you toward a Nether Fortress. Seems it doesn’t and just points East.

It’s my son’s favorite video game of all time…and it’s one year older than him. It has such staying power, and it really is a classic. I should try it out sometime.

@nathanbarnatt, I’ll pose your question to him tomorrow. I’m certain he’ll know the answer!

I’m so late to Minecraft. I started playing in 2019. I’ve been obsessed since I started. I’ve mostly only ever talked about classic games like neo geo and SEGA I here. Figured I’d see if there was a Minecraft crowd at all. I think it’s definitely worth trying. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Attempting to beat it for the first time now.

Here’s my son’s response:

“I don’t know about the sunflower trick. I’ve never tried it. What I do is find a village and make a nether portal there. I almost always spawn nearby a nether fortress. That usually works for me.”

I hope that helps!

Oh cool. That’s a good tip. Thanks. I’ll try that.
