Best way to sell a collection?

Looking to get rid of (what i have left of) my game stuff. I don't have the time to sell everything one at a time. I have been slowly listing and selling but its taking forever. I'm not having a lot of luck selling it all at once. I guess there aren't a lot of resellers in my small city. I don't want to sell it all for credit at a game store. But I have been thinking about it, getting the credit, then using it to buy a couple high dollar things. Then i only have a couple things to sell *shrugs*

If you want to balance between value and time, separate out items over a critical price point and sell or eBay those separately, and then you can bundle the low-dollar items as a collection. You’ll probably take a bath on the lot (can’t be helped) but if you pick your higher dollar items right should make a good return on your labor.

I might be interested if you can get a list of everything you have.

I'm in Canada .. shipping would probably suck if you're in the US. :/

Darn, you're right. Honestly, try to find some retro gaming facebook groups for your area. If you're willing to take about 60% cash value of everything you'll be able to sell it fast.

How many games are you talking about in the collection? Been going back and forth on this myself lately. Would take forever, but I wouldn't be in a rush myself.

I think its around 400 left to go.. few consoles I want to get rid of too. Like My Wii U ... literally never use it. Never really have lol. Pain in the ass to list on local sites. I also don't want to meet like 400 people. Or go to the post office 400 times. LOL. I'm kind of a recluse.
I'm not really in a rush and i don't need the money. I just want it gone now that I've decided it's time.
I guess I could just put all of one platform in a eBay lot. Like a 80 PS4 games lot. Let people bid. But worried nobody will see and ill get like $30 + shipping lol

If you don’t need the money and just want it gone, but are also concerned about extracting some of the “value” of the collection, those are going to conflict.

Yea, you're better off doing it the slow way, but trading in a bunch of games no one really cares about for in-store credit would be a good idea. I am in Canada too, and yea even domestic shipping is ridiculous, and it'll be hard to find Americans to buy them.

I went through this recently. I'm fortunate that in the US the postal service picks up most packages from your home. I was able to list my most expensive stuff on ebay and ship the items without having to make a trip to the post office. Not sure how local shipping options work in Canada.
Dump the low-value junk at a game store for credit or make a big ebay lot. Time is money. If you're only gonna make a few bucks on a game consider the time you waste listing, packaging, and driving a single game to ship.
