This might be a weird request, but this is something I’m interested in. I know there’s a decent amount, though not as many as one might think. I’m just trying to get a list going.

What do you mean by "anime"??? "Anime art" or full-video animation?

Guess I should have made that clear- full 2D animated cutscenes, like some PCE-CD games and the like.

This counts though, everyone knows King of the Hill is Japans favorite anime.

What springs to mind first are the Toei laserdisc arcade games:
Thunder Storm (aka Cobra Command)
Ninja Hayate
Road Blaster (aka Road Avenger)
Time Gal

Popful Mail, Keio Flying Squadron, and Lunar: Eternal Blue on the Sega CD come to mind when it comes to games with anime cutscenes.

I played some of the later Valis titles for PCE CD & X68000 recently because Retro Core did a few retrospective videos pointing out the best titles. It's based on Reda: The Fantastic Adventure of Yohko and most ports contain a bunch of cutscenes of the protagonist in schoolgirl battle-armor. Most games are kinda crap, but there are some good ones and they do have good chiptunes and graphics mostly.

I recall Wild Arms on PS1 had a fantastic anime intro, though it was limited to the intro and not to in game sequences. But if you need your fix for that on the PlayStation, Xenogears is also available...
