Just this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax7f3JZJHSw

Basically, a guy has his wife, who virtually played no games previously, play nine games and watches how she figures things out. I've seen this before in my own life, and my experience gibes with theirs. His last words, especially the "coolness" aspect towards the end, were pretty interesting and I think worth a discussion. Thoughts on the video or your own experiences?

He had a few follow-ups that I haven't watched yet, but I think I might watch now:

Haven't watched the video yet but it seems interesting and I would want to check it out later.

The experience I have with people who have not played games is when I was teaching and would let my students play games like contra. Even though my students were typically gamers, they were gamers of a different generation and watching them play these classics was very interesting, both because the kids always loved the games I presented to them, and they were so ludicrously bad at them it just shows how much different skill sets are required for different games.

Easy to blame games etc for the ills of society. Like the good old story about VGs making kids violent and dangerous. 30+ years and it still won't go away!
