Sega Nomad acting strange

Hi everyone!
I just got a Nomad to add to my collection for my birthday and it has an issue where it will power on and play a game when first powered on. However if you power it off and then on it will show a distorted freeze frame of the last image. If you keep turning it on and off it degrades more until eventually ends at a white screen then black. Also sound is not working. Its seems to only play the first time its been powered on after being unplugged for a while. This happens when plugged into the outlet or with batteries.
I changed all of the capacitors with a kit I got from Console5, but the problem persists. Any ideas of what I could do now?
