Pinball Arcade loses the Williams license

Hey folks, Fastbilly wanted me to post this for him since he is stuck at work:

"Pinball Arcade has lost the Williams licence.  They will no longer be for sale after June.  They also will not be going on sale before then - the new owner of the Williams tables have ended their dealings with Farsight.  Buy em while you still can"

So Pinball Arcade owners: you've been warned. If there is a table you have been waiting on, don't wait. Get it now.

CRTGAMER put together a list of what all is being removed:

61 titles are going to disappear from the collection as of June 30

The good news is, if you own the tables already, you won't lose access to them. If you don't and think you might want them, you have just under two months to get them. FarSight confirmed in their Facebook post that, per their current agreement with WMS, they are not able to offer discounts on the tables before they disappear. Below is the full list of games that are leaving the collection:

The Addams Family
Attack from Mars
Banzai Run
Black Knight
Black Knight 2000
Black Rose
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Cactus Canyon
Centaur
The Champion Pub
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Cyclone
Diner
Doctor Who
Dr. Dude & HIs Excellent Ray
Earthshaker
Eight Ball Deluxe
Elvira and the Party Monsters
F-14 Tomcat
Fathom
Fireball
Firepower
Firepower II
Fish Tales
Fun House
The Getaway: High Speed 2
Gorgar
High Speed
Hurricane
Indianapolis 500
Jack Bot
Judge Dredd
Junk Yard
The Machine: Bride of Pin•Bot
Medieval Madness
Monster Bash
No Fear: Dangerous Sports
No Good Gofers
Paragon
The Party Zone
Pinbot
Red and Ted's Road Show
Safe Cracker
Scared Stiff
Sorcerer
Space Shuttle
Spanish Eyes
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Swords Of Fury
Tales of the Arabian Nights
Taxi
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Theatre of Magic
Twilight Zone
White Water
Whirlwind
WHO Dunnit
Wild Card
World Champion Soccer
Xenon

This affects all versions of Pinball Arcade, which is currently on Android, iOS, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, PC, Kindle Fire, Ouya, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, and Switch

So many Williams pinball tables going away!. Doubtful if any will be available as archive backup for previous purchasers should a game console or PC fail or lose files after the end date.. At least some of the tables are on disc for older consoles.

Ouch. I need to check the list of tables available to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Someone other than Williams made Pinball? I don't ever recall seeing a Pinball machine without Williams on it. huh, weird. Not played those console F2P Pinball games. I wanted to but felt like I got 1 table then a bunch of DLC so never tried again.

Yipe, thanks for the heads up!
I've been dragging my feet on Pinball Arcade as a whole but I'll definitely have to get a few tables before they go away forever!

You haven't heard of Stern? They're the other big name in pinball. I know there are other companies, but I don't know them, and I wouldn't expect anyone else who isn't big into pinball to, either. I know Data East used to do pinball, but I don't know the disposition of the rights on those tables.

Yeah the big three were Bally, Williams and Stern. Others like Data East, Capcom, Sega and midway had a place in the early 90s. In the older era of pinball machines Gottlieb was everywhere. If you saw an old pinball machine 9/10 It was gottlieb.

Yeah, I just went ahead and bought all of the seasons DLC I don't have. I don't REALLY have the spare cash right now, but I ADORE Pinball Arcade, and that clock is seriously ticking.

I think I might be good but I need to get home to use the PS4's native storefront to be sure. The 'download list' feature via the PSN app is not very good.
