Monsters of Geek Podcast

Hi Everyone!
I've been member of this forum for a little bit and I'm more of a lurker than poster. I enjoy reading the thoughts and opinions on both modern and retro games and this forum has helped me in both playing games and collecting as well. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I'm always a little intimidated promoting things I'm involved with on the internet, but I am part of a podcast called Monsters of Geek. We also have a blog, but have really transitioned into a podcast as our main medium and we are approaching 50 episodes. We don't have a big listener base, but I feel like the podcast has improved so much since we first started a little over a year ago. We started out with around 40 or so listeners, but due to life we dropped off after a little bit of a break and we haven't been able to gain a lot of listeners since. I know in the big podcasting landscape it's a bit hard to get noticed without 1) spending money or 2) strong word of mouth. I've done some of #1, but I don't have ton of extra money to spend. I wanted to focus this next year promoting the podcast in hopes of creating more word of mouth promotion.
With that being said, I don't expect anyone to go back and listen to all 50 episodes haha! Staring in January we are going to be deleting the majority of our older episodes. Think of those episodes as Season 1 with Season 2 staring in January. We will keep some of our older episodes up, but not many so please feel free to listen to as many as you want until I take the down.
Also, I want to take this time to get your opinion on the show. Please feel free to give us tips or things we need to work on for the new season. Our format has changed a bit since that first episode, but we generally start with a cold open, we talk about what we have been into since last recording, and then we have a topic we discuss for the remainder of the episode. Our episodes cover anything in geek culture (movies, comics, TV, etc.), but we do talk a lot about video games due to all of use being gamers. We record over Google Hangouts as we have a 5 member show and we can't get together in the same room to record. This holds up pretty good, but we have our moments in terms of audio quality. If anyone has any tips on how to get the audio better and cleaner I'll be happy to take that advice and run with it. We have a lot of fun and I hope that comes across in the each episode. Any feedback on the show would be much appreciated.
Finally, feel free to move or delete this if I'm breaking any rules. I didn't know whether to put this here or in the creative part of the forum. I appreciate this forum and how much information I've gained from it. With our 50th episode coming up, I would like to get some questions from listeners and start a Q&A section of the show. Please feel free to send your questions to [email protected], tweet us @monstersofgeek, or join our Facebook page under Monsters of Geek Blog (same on Youtube as well though we don't have a lot of content up yet). I will leave links to the latest episode on Spreaker (where we host) which is our Super Mario Super Top 10 show! I will also provide links if you want to subscribe to us on iTunes and Stitcher as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you start to listen to us and enjoy our show.
