Sega Saturn Question..

Post by ns12123 »

Hi, I just bought a used Saturn and had a concern. Every time I boot up a game, I have to re-enter the date and time. What would be the cause?

you need to replace the internal memory battery. its a CR2032 3V coin battery.

If you look on the back of your Saturn you will see a door you can clip off, this will reveal the battery that needs replacing

This battery is also used for game saves

BTW they're the same ones that VMU's take so if you have a DC with vmu's you could stock up on them at the same time hehe.

if you don't use it for games, they will last for a couple of months because the screen does turn off

Agh! I'm going to give everyone a heads up and not recommend 2473taylor as an eBay seller. He sold me a Saturn with a dead battery, a controller with a FRAYED cord, and six games that are scratched to hell.

how much was it. it was obvious that the battery was going to be dead, and of course games are gonna be crapped, did you really care about those 6 sports games? lol.
