Looking for help with Gens+. Is there a hidden config file somewhere? I can't seem to get one particular ROM loaded after simply just moving ROM directories. I know it sounds strange since all my other ROMs load, but maybe there is a graphic setting that is causing a BSOD after playing around with the device setting under the Graphic tab. Anyway, coming up short on google, tried looking in the emulators .ini file, and nothing. Even tried just reinstalling the emulator itself and coming up short. Convinced it's a setting somewhere i just can't find. Any one have a similar experience and have found how to fix?

I'm not a Gens+ expert by any means, but I've seen many programs have issues when the path gets too long - you didn't mention what game, but if it happens to have a particularly long file name for that rom vs the other games you're playing, that could theoretically be a problem?
Dunno, just spitballing here.

Agreed. Good point, but i'm trying to load kenseiden. I use XBMC's Advanched Launcher as a front end and had just that one ROM to test directories and paths. It ran just fine for me, and decided to move my directories. Since then, it won't load. To be fair, all other ROMS that were moved into the new directory load fine, and the Kenseiden ROM loads up just fine in another emulator. The only thing I can think of that may have changed things is being curious, I started playing around with the devices under the graphics tab. Since then, no dice so that's what's leading me to believe that it may be a setting somewhere that I can't see that does not show up in the .ini file.
I'd just forget it and use KEGA, but I prefer the original SMS sound, not the souped-up Genesis synth type. I tried disabling it in KEGA settings, but can't seem to either.
***edit
I found the option in KEGA to disable the FM syth, so I just found my work around.
