Nes zapper with sms

Hi I was just wondering if there is a way to mod a nes zapper for use with a sega master system I have 2 or 3 nes zapper and I don't have a sega light phaser and they are like 16 dollars and I have a lot of bad genesis controllers I have moded a nes controller for the sega master system but I have not tried it with a zapper
