Arc Systems (Blazblu & Guilty Gear) recently bought Technos (Double Dragon & Kunio kun[River City Ransom, Super Dodgeball]). Hopefully this means a new RCR.

yeah I had just posted this in the Kunio TR thread. Great news! Y'know there was that River City open-world game that got Kickstarted. Wonder what will happen to that now?

Underground is supposed to launch this summer, but we will see.
Id love a new Super Dodgeball on Steam. Heck if they just gave me Advance with online multiplayer that would be perfect.

agreed. Honestly I would be pleased to see ANY Kunio games come to Steam.

Iirc, the RCR trademark belongs to the guys with the Kickstarter, not Technos (or in this case, ASW). But there has been some Kunio-Kun games on the 3DS. I'd love to see those get localized, even digitally, so maybe there's a chance now.

It is my understanding that they only have the rights to do a sequel, not the actual property.

Given the active nature of the new owner I hope we see this stuff hitting the PC shortly considering their good interest in stuffing things up on GoG and Steam. I know I'd buy some Kunio games handled right.

It sounds like they bought the Technos IPs held by Million Co., Ltd, but not the actual company.
