With FPS being affordable quick to pick up and play titles, I wanted to come up with a list of FPS games with Offline Multiplayer and the Ability to Play vs Bots.

Figured there has to be some people who are interested but can't find the exact information on a particular game with these features. If you know of any and would like to add to the list I will update accordingly.

So let's compile a list under these simple criteria's:

-Any Console FPS from any generation. ( No PC games) Reason: Before today's standards PC games were popular online where as Consoles usually lacked online modes sufficing Bots as a means to replicate the PC counterparts.

-Ability to play Offline Multiplayer with Bots. (1 or More Players)

-Games that replicate (to some degree) the online competitiveness nature. Various game modes/ types welcomed.

On CoD: Ghosts you can play against bots... whether it's offline or not, I do not know.

Also the original Perfect Dark does... possibly Quake 3 or Outrigger on Dreamcast...

Why no PC games?

Also, do you care how good or bad the AI is since you indicated they should duplicate online competitiveness?

I excluded PC only because I felt this feature was more common there than on consoles, I'm also PC timid.

I wanna list any game good or bad as a knowledge base, but of course the better experiences should be noted. Games that come closest to the online experience are great but if the player doesn't have internet or doesn't care for playing against others online having options to look into wouldn't be bad more my intention.

Call of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2, MW3, Ghosts, and Advance Warfare all have offline multiplayer with bots.

Don't forget:

Turok: Rage Wars (N64)
Quake III (PS2/Dreamcast)
Unreal Tournament (PS2/Dreamcast)

I'm sure there's a bunch more.

There's a case to be made that with PC games you can always find a group of people to play multiplayer thanks to the internet. With console games it's either split-screen only or the servers have shut down for anything not in the current generation.

What about system link games? Some COD Xbox 360 games can be system linked together with bot support for missing players. I think that the system link feature is the best "online multiplayer" offline multiplayer one can have.

I don't know if its the object of the topic per se but it could be useful knowledge.

How could I forget James Bond The World is Not Enough on the N64? a very underrated game and the multiplayer was superior to Goldeneye IMO and was the very first game I ever played with bots.

That reminds me of 007: agent under fire. They have bots as well.

And I don't remember well but the follow up game to that, 007: night fire, may have had bots as well.

Both I owned for the GameCube.
