Did any of you guys get it? I nearly passed on it due to lower than expected review scores as well as the terrible Nintendo Direct Stream. But I ended up getting it day one and I love it. Really well-done game, good graphics, great writing, and some terrific music. If you've played the underrated, underplayed Little King's Story on Wii, some of the style and music themes come across in this game.

18 hours in, Chapter 2, having a blast.

I'm planning on picking it up some time in November. I'm not one to pass up a Level-5 game, regardless of what "critics" have to say. Looks like it's chock full of charm and long bouts of relaxed gameplay based on videos I've watched.

Is the adventuring gameplay more like FFCC or like Runefactory?

I've been wanting to play this game forever, but I probably should wait till December to get it... If I got it now, I probably wouldn't get any work done

Not sure how I'd categorize it but here's some combat footage:

I've only played the first Rune Factory, but it's much less generic feeling than that. The combat IS very simple and not very hard, but the game still shines besides that. It's not open world, but there are lots of places to explore within the areas that are open to you.
