Clash of Clans (iPhone/Android)

I find it very surprising there isn't a thread about this already. I'm a member of a Michigan State Spartans clan that I found through another website I frequent (spartantailgate.com). It's rather addicting, but thus far I have managed to remain employed and married, though I make no promises for the future. Anyway, I refuse to spend money on it, so it's a bit of a slog, but the clan wars are exciting and the social aspect is kinda cool. Anyone else playing?

Bit of a necrobump, but it's still first page...
My coworkers just got me onto it -- for the second time. First time I found it kinda boring, but being in a clan with coworkers and doing some wars is neat. We all just started a week or two ago. So far I'm playing purely defensively and nearly PvE such that it's possible -- no attacks, just harvesting and the occasional goblin raid. I'm at a nearly-maxed TH4 (just have 1 more lab2 research in progress, 1 more final upgrade on an elixir collector, and about 55% of my walls to take from 3 to 4)... trying to see if it's feasible maxing out each level before upgrading TH. I know it's not ideal because then there's wasted time while builders twiddle their thumbs as the TH is upgraded, but I'm not that invested yet that I care.
It did make it amusing where I was #15 of 15 in our latest war and the other team wasted 5 attacks on me (first 4 got 0 stars, 5th they just overkill swarmed me). I think it's quietly stealthing up on them.

Well I have to admit I posted something of the same thing on the "general gaming" thread and it got moved to here. I cant believe these aren't taking off. I play a lot myself, like A LOT. I recently just left my own clan to join someone bigger. I now run with a clan called Poison. White and Purple emblem, should be around 20 people. I am deadpool on there. I kick some ass..lol
