i recently bought a bulk of famicom carts online. The condition of the carts are really terrible but i could not resist some of the games. i cleaned them all up as much as i can but a handful would not load no matter what i do (white screen, black screen nothing) i tried using different consoles but no luck. i'm close to giving up. the contacts are clean, maybe it could still load but when do you consider a cart "dead" hopeless other than seeing physical abuse off course.
and what do you guys do with the carts that are dead? garbage bin? display?

What have you cleaned the contacts with and have you opened any of them up to see what condition the boards are in?
