Racket Boy's N64 joystick replacement

I'm currently into speedrunning Nintendo 64 games. This means I need precise controller inputs. Unfortunately, all of my controllers' joysticks are extremely loose. I repaired one of them, but it isn't quite up to the standards that I would like. Has anyone tried the RacketBoy joystick replacement? (http://www.racketboy.com/store/nintendo-64-n64/n64-repair-box-replacement-joystick.html) I don't really want to try it unless it's almost exactly like the feel of the classic n64 controller. I'm not really interested into the modern remakes of n64 controllers.
