I voted PSO.
After some thought I decided it was the better choice.
FFXI relies heavily on interactions among players - it's much harder to play alone or in small groups.
PSO also has the offline mode for those to just wish to play amongst themselves - this is what I may end up doing given the unreliability of my internet connection.

I want to actually play a proper MMO if we're going to do that genre. Voted FFXI.

My accounts are currently inactive, but if you guys want to play XI and decide to to go Asura I can turn them on and provide assistance.
Modern FFXI is a lot more doable with small groups or solo than launch FFXI too.

I voted PSO based on the fact that I adore PSO. And there's free servers. And there's a single player offline mode. And I guess I love the idea of everyone talking about a game I love so much all month. And as pointed out, you can do single missions in small enough chunks of time that you will feel progression throughout the month for sure.
That said, I won't be upset if FFXI does win as it would be alright w/ me to have an excuse to look into a mainline FF that I haven't had the opportunity to do so prior.

Where do you download PSO for PC? also ive been waiting for a NA Localization for PSO2, someday....

I'm interested in FF, but I voted PSO for much the same reasons as Noise.
Thank also for the links Fast. It'd be awesome to play Blue Burst alongside this crew.
