i got the iso for Whats shenume through http://bt.emuparadise.org:8989/torrents.php.

i burned it with diskjuggler using the following settings

Mode 2
Block 2352
Offset 0
TOC CD-DA

and i set it to raw write in the misc option. I didn use overburining since the iso is just around 400mb

these settings have worked many times before But the Dc only reads it as a audio cd. So has anyone else downloaded this iso or encountered a similar problem ? if so please share any tips you have :D

granted there arent a lot of people excited about making a demo of shenmue work :P

i burned an iso of the demo i downloaded from usenet almost 3 years ago (long time!) and i had no problems with it. then again, i used a mac and with what i had, i had to use CDIrip, ISOfix, and all that other stuff.

well

if you could post a more detailed description that would be a great help :D

however the thing is the cdi image i got is marked (self) wich i assume it means it selfbooting..and i´ve noticed if i select play on the dreamcast menu it automatically reboots the dc much like any selfbooting game that has worked. Could this be fixed with a good boot cd ? since i have been able to run games that the dc reads as a audio cd through action replay..but it didn work here tho

as for the burning, i haven't burned a dreamcast game in well over a year (maybe 2?) but i'm sure you can find a descriptive guide for using ISOfix and that stuff on dcemulation.com, check the mac guide and it should explain how.

also, i noticed a problem with my dc now and then where games that i know for a fact worked will be read as audio cd's. i think it has something to do with the laser? what i always did in that case was put in an original game and let it load (or at least until the laster repositioned itself), and then try a cd-r. that always did the trick for me, so give that a shot
