Wavy Screen Super FX Carts? *Fixed*

Hey guys I have a question for you all. When I play games StarFox, Yoshis Island that have the super fx chip I have all kinds of horizontal lines rolling up screen. Almost like hz or something is off. I am using an older crt so I dont think its a compatibility thing.
Other games work great with this console. Just anything with Super FX has this weird white line scrolling up screen issue. Its most noticeable on anything black. Games play fine but its annoying lol.
Any ideas whats wrong?

Maybe radio interference from the FX chip. Are you hooked up to the TV via RF? Maybe shift your wires around a little.

I am using Composite. I can get a picture of it probably. I am using one of the after market power supplies Racketboy sells aswell if that makes any difference.

I'd still try moving the cords around or the system away from the TV and see if it changes. If it does, you're getting interference.

Tried two different tvs and same deal also tried cords etc. I also moved wires around.
I am starting to wonder if its the PSU I see on the one I ordered its says 9V but on the SNES it says it wants 10V. I tried a multi meter on the adapter and I am showing 9.3V so I am wondering if I need to get an official adapter.
This picture isnt the best but hard to take pictures of a crt theres just these white lines that flow up and down the picture.
Just found this on another forum.
I wouldn't exactly recommend anything beyond a genuine SNES power adapter. I've had experience with a 3rd party adapter, and unless this only extends as far as that particular one, they can't seem to handle any games that utilize extra chips, like the Super FX games, as they cause dark/bright lines to scroll down the screen on said games.Guess I will have to find an original. Funny that the Store here sells an adapter that is 9V for a system that says 10V right on the back. Kinda feel ripped off now. Guess buyer beware here.

Yep, most cheap 3rd party AC adapters are poorly constructed and/or do nothing to mitigate interference. An original SNES adapter would be leagues better, or a higher end 3rd party adapter.

I have had this problem before. Depending on what region console you have (Jap, EUR or US) depends on whether the console use AC or DC power.
Looks like you are using a AC power supply on a Super Famicom which is expecting DC. They work for all games but any SuperFX games cause that wavy line.
Get a 9V DC power supply and you will be set

The US NES has a brick that spits out AC power. Everything else NES and SNES expects DC power and feeding them AC will kill them. The US NES can accept DC power just fine since there is another rectifier inside the console.
However the OP is using a cheap brick on a US SNES. Since nearly every other device that uses a power brick has one that spits out DC and NES bricks were known for killing Genesis units due to the similar plug, it is very unlikely that the OP is using an AC output brick. Plus the US SNES has a proprietary plug that specifically prevents using the old NES plug.

I was not sure what console the op was using. As for the AC on a DC console it does work with the Super Famicom. I have done it by accident when I sold one with a PAL AC power supply. All games worked perfect except for star fox that had wavy lines in the picture.

Huh, I see that's the case. That's really stupid like their decision to use AC here in the US on the NES. That's the whole reason the US SNES has an annoying plug, so you couldn't just leave the power brick and swap consoles when you upgraded NES to SNES. That's really lucky that it didn't blow up the system with AC. Most older devices expecting DC will die pretty quickly if fed AC.
