Game Watch?

Post by Anapan »

I keep seeing Game Switch (previous topic) and thinking Game Watch!
It's always been a Holy Grail, but ultimately the ebay prices vs play value prevent me from owning a Kellogs Tetris watch "it will be mine - oh yes - it will be mine".

Does anyone here own a good* game watch?

I have a couple of calculator watches, and a Disney Pagemaster Watch (dumbed-down-too much Tiger LCD), but I've always wanted to have a good videogame attached to my arm (Probably Inspector Gadget future programming - exactly what good children's television should do, or inspiration from Commander Keen 4+).

I can post links to working & unproduced prototypes (Amazing stuff - just ask!), failed Palm watches (Abacus - good idea but not really... battery issues... resolution...), MP4 video players, VHF/UHF TVs (got one, can't attach controls good and can't leave - UHF emmitter has range), Bluetooth accessories - overpriced crap, BREW capable cell-phones (no good* games compatable with resolution, incompatability with my provider), and even (slightly too-big) computers that cost too much and have no controls. But none of them have a good game (Well, snake is rather good, but not worth the asking price...).

Is there a good* game watch that isn't over $75?

I know about the cyborgization attempts with multiple wires going from a computer, a battery, your arm-input controls, and a visor. I know that they would enable my wildest dreams, but in the end I only want a gadget, not a solution for world domination.

*subjective, but seriously even Copter with a single button and gravity would keep me entertained for hours. Even Pong would be worth over $100 if it were backlit and the battery would sustain a charge... Except Tetris I can't find one that's purchasable at a decent price, available and entertaining. I've been searching for as long as the internet's been available.
