So I'm a bit late with this but some of you may know that Nintendo announced a new 3DS XL that has Luigi all over it. I WANT THIS!
As of now it is only for Japan and since it's region locked there is not point for an import.
Who is hoping for a US release?
I have the 20th Anniversary Game Boy Micro from Japan which has the logo in the back. I've noticed that the logo is absent from the US release. I missed out on the 25th Anniversary DSi which was a 7-11 Japanese exclusive and the DSi LL/XL because when they were released I was a college student. I scored the Micro because they were around $75 in 2010. I never had the chance for the DSi's.
That is some amazingly classy art if you ask me. Though a bit um.....female accessory looking? I'd still get it as a collector's item though, it's too gorgeous and unique to pass on....oh Nintendo, you and your region blocking stupidity....

A few gaming sites pointed out the Mario silhouette. Just can't let Luigi have all the spotlight. I do hope the inside isn't white or at least have some cool green buttons.
Any handheld that is clear is amazing. None of that "clear grape color" from the Game Boy Color, just straight up "no color" clear.
Nah, its not just you, it definitely could have been a lot better. My desire for it mostly stems from an obsession with Luigi.
I think a nice green and blue system with Luigi's "L" logo on the top would have been perfect. Sort of like that special edition gamecube controller they released (only in japan, naturally) a few years back.
I was actually hoping they'd release a system bundle in that vein for Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon.
