No, not the area in Paris.
What are your favorite games to play with a friend where you pass the control off after you lose a turn/die? I am making the assumption people still do this.
To start things off, the super mario series up to Super Mario World were "passy" games when I was growing up. Sure, most had a 2 player mode, but it was so much easier to make progress by passing the controller off after a lost life.
Zombies ate my Neighbors was a big "passy" game when I was in high school. This one you could play simultaneously, but again you could make quicker progress by playing one player.
And while in college my roommate and I would regretfully pass the controller dozens of times to beat MGS.
So. Any similar fond memories, and do you guys even play games where you pass the controller when you lose a life?

I like doing this with tetris plus on the PlayStation. Also with Mr. Driller on Dreamcast.
We keep playing and when you fail a puzzle, you pass it to the next person.
My brother, sister and I had lots of fun on weekends doing this

Got to be Gamecube Pacman Vs, I think one of the best party games. Not having enough Wavebirds, the tangled cords when trading with the Pacman GBA adds to the fun.

My first thought -
Passssyyyyyy!
Actually, my brother and I used to do that a lot with Megaman 2 & 3, and Gameboy Kirby & Mario Land while doing road trips in our parent's vehicles. Usually just taking turns blasting through levels, since we'd both beaten them many times.

Mmmmm mostly when we try to beat a game in one night... mos of them platformers, Donkey kong country (1,2,3), super mario (world and 3) and we TRY resident evil on gamecube but game is too long to finish it in one night
So yeah we still do this. Maybe we should try a megaman game of something short like that.

Some years ago me and a friend went through most of the NES Mega Man games in one night like that, changing players on death. It was really fun, and made a fond gaming memory.

8/16 bit shmups and platformers, especially the difficult ones like Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden which allow for unlimited continues. (Godsend)

That game is great. I remember having a huge knot of wires when I played that 4 player with my cousins.CRTGAMER wrote:Got to be Gamecube Pacman Vs, I think one of the best party games. Not having enough Wavebirds, the tangled cords when trading with the Pacman GBA adds to the fun.

Super Meat Boy. My girlfriend and I beat the game using the 'pass' method. Pretty much one would play until the point of wanting to toss the controller across the room, and then we'd switch.
