Pirated video games

Post by brainerdrainer »

I was just wondering if any others out there collect pirated games. I've been into them lately and started up a decent little collection. Recently did a little post about my pirated Castlevania Dracula X for SNES. I have some GB and NES ones as well. Mostly 20 in 1 games, stuff like that. Anyone else collect these? Don't know why but I love them

I can't tell I'd they are pirated or not, but there are some SNES games that have the back warning label molded into the plastic. No sticker at all.

I've seen this on some copies of Top Gear SNES and others.

Those are the Majesco re-releases. They are not pirates, but rather second "printings" of a few popular SNES games (including Top Gear).

On topic...there are some great GBA pirate carts out there. I once had the opportunity to buy Contra Force for the GBA (and mistakenly did not do so). I tested the cart - which had a version of the Contra Force NES label on it - thinking that it would boot up the GBA port of Contra III. I was wrong. It actually booted Contra Force. It was like a lost "NES Series" game! The label looked really good for a pirate cart, and I really regret that I passed on it.

The best way to know is a game is pirate is for the weight, the plastic and the pin conections.

In my country was crawling with the piracy so you can find pirate snes games (and famicom and GB) on everyone. Actually is harder to find a legit copy for that reason.

I have at least 10 pirate snes games and some famiclones.

I bought a pirated copy of Pokemon Crystal GBA. The graphics are upped to Pokemon Leaf Green quality and other than that it is the same game so far. I only payed 7 bucks for it and I think it has been a great investment so far!
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

Bought a Metal Slug Advance bootleg once. Destroyed it in a fit of rage once I found out. Damn was I pissed.

When I was in Indonesia (bootleg heaven), yes. Many of the pirated games I have had unofficial artwork, and some of the ones I had were actually mispackaged (different game than what it's described). The games cost about 5000 RP, which is equivalent to 5 US cents.

I own a 120 in 1 MVS Multi-Cart from http://www.excellentcom.net/. I love it and recommend it to any MVS or AES owner.

Yeah I have quite a few 20 in 1 game boy carts and nes carts. Those ones are the ones I seek out a lot. My wife is from Brazil and last time when we went there I found some game shops with some pirated games as well as legit ones. I love that place! Wish I took a photo, but it was a sketchy neighborhood

Do dreamcast games count

Also, I've heard that some of the popular pirated Poke GB games are really good such, as Darkcry and choas (I believe thats what they're called) either way I'd like to get my hands on them.
