So it seems I've been screwed by Namco.

I preordered the Ni No Kuni Wizard's edition back in June right after they opened up the preorders. Well after waiting months, the game is out and I was totally stoked about getting the limited edition. It never came and I read some people were having problems getting their orders.

So this morning I called the customer service line to ensure my order was ok. The customer service rep was very nice and assured me my order was safe and would ship soon. Just checked my email and they emailed me saying my order was cancelled! So I called the customer service line again and they said that indeed my order was cancelled due to a invalid address, which is bull.

I was told that my copy was sold and no other copies were available. So I just saw a few articles that state that this company called play Canada has hundreds of copies for sale at $400.00 a pop mind you. However I remember when ordering that you were only allowed to buy one copy. Hundreds of others are having the same issue as me. There is even a Facebook page on it and the Namco forums are on fire with pissed off customers.

Apparently, people who were the first to preorder this game in the summer are being screwed while people who were able order through some loophole found recently are getting copies over the people who ordered first.

Namco and their distributor Digital River suck and sold hundreds of copies to these price gouging scum bags while leaving the real fans of the game out in the cold while spitting in our faces. I will never do business with them again.

Has anyone else here preordered the special edition of Ni No Kuni? Here is a article explaining the problem further. http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/1227 ... suspected/

I read about this earlier, and was shocked. Namco is not a company known for having this kind of trouble. I would guess that this issue fell more toward the distribution. Hope this gets resolved for you and the many others.

I almost ordered one of these!

I had a purely chaotic and horrible experience with this as well. However mine started a few months ago. I posted about it here.

I was really pissed about it for a long time, seeing as how this was my most anticipated game basically... ever?

Anywho, fast forward to now and i'm reading about them having more stock in and allowing more orders on the 17th of this month. I totally missed out on that, however it appears those people are getting tons of cancellations from namco as well.

Someone on the namco forums posted some "magical" link showing that as of yesterday they were back in stock and allowed to order again. Purely chaotic, but I figured it was worth a shot. I ordered, and this morning received a shipment confirmation with a tracking number, so as of now it looks like my order I placed just yesterday for this is already in transit. Though, I remain skeptical until it's actually in my hands, knowing how negligent and stupid Digital-River is.

I hope namco learns from this and stops using digital-river. They're just a completely incompetent company, and Ni No Kuni isn;t the first time they've done things like this. Even just recently there was a similar issue with the darksiders II CE, along with many others. The internet is littered with horror stories from customers who've dealt with DR.

Anywho, sorry for what happened to you. I went through the same thing, sadly.

I just had mine cancelled as well. I am heartbroken.. Ive wanted this game for years and jumped on the preorder. I was assured many times my order was fine despite the first cancellation notice only to get a final cxl email today. when i called to confirm it i was told a preorder doesnt guarantee anything. WTH!

Now it is a tough debate for me to hold on to it knowing it is going for $300+ lol.

Bit I think it will be a nice addition to the collection.

Not the collectors edition... that's where all the controversy is.
